Autumn Revival For London Housing - Evening Standard November 05
Estate agents Haart today added to evidence that London's housing market is springing back to life. Asking prices rose by 0.9 per cent on average in October after slipping 0.5 per cent the previous month. The pace of activity is picking up too, with the average time taken to secure a sale falling by five days to 25.
And sellers are having to drop asking prices by only 2.7 per cent as buyers' confidence returns. First time buyers are trickling back to the market, accounting for 24 per cent of sales compared with 21 per cent in September.
Haart said that property prices are now back to the levels of a year ago.
