Revival In Buy-To-Let Market As Yields Rise - The Sunday Times March 06
Residential rents appear to be rising, sending demands for buy-to-let mortgages through the roof. Rental yields - income as a percentage of the property's value - have started to go up in many parts of the country, according to Landlord Mortgages, a specialist broker.
Rental demand remains strong and 89 per cent of landlords think rents will rise this year according to a survey by Mortgage Express, a buy-to-let lender. This should help nboost yields further. Such is the confidence that 86 per cent said they plan to increase the size of their portfolio's this year.
