Price Of Terrace homes Hits £1m -Evening Standard March 06

The average cost of a terrace house in central London is more than £1 million for the first time.

Figures today show the landmark was passed during a remarkable surge in the property market as the capital continues to outpace the rest of the country.

Prices rose by 1.1 per cent across London last month. The increase in the central "bonus belt" lifts the cost of a terrace home to an all time high of £9,000 over the £1 million mark, compared with £992,500 last month.
