Homes Up By £500 Each Week -Argus April 06

House prices rose by an average of more than £500 a week during the past month as affluent buyers created a mini boom, figures showed yesterday.

The cost of property in England and Wales increased bt 1.1 per cent or £2,275 during the four weeks to April 9 to an average £205,674, according to property website Rightmove.

The group said the market continued to be characterised by increasing demand from buyers combined with a shortage of property being put up for sale.
