London & South East Restart UK Housing Boom - Financial Times may 06

Demand for housing is far outstripping supply, according to the latest Hometrack survey due out on Monday. The survey from the housing data company will show there is a mismatch between the number of homes available for sale and the number of buyers seeking property in London.

The Hometrack index shows the supply of homes for sale has grown by 14 per cent in the past three months. Over the same period demand has grown by more than 50 per cent.
