Taylor Woodrow Buoyed By Pick-Up In Housing Demand- The Times Aug 06
Taylor Woodrow, the housingbuilder, said yesterday that sales and reservations in UK homes had rebounded strongly since the start of the year, after six months of weaker market conditions.
The comments echoed those made by persimmon. a larger rival, on monday. Taylor Woodrow said the upturn, which has pushed sales and reservations above the levels achieved at the same time last year, should deliver house price inflation of between 2 per cent and 3 per cent in 2005.
Despite the pick-up in demand the housebuilder said that it remained too early to declare the market to be on the recovery trail. However, it added that it remained confident above prospects in the UK for the next 12 to 18 months.
