Deptford's In Demand - The London Paper Jan 07
Deptford has become an unlikely property hotspot, claiming second place in the Capital's chart of rising home prices, a report revealled yesterday.
Values rocketed by 36 per cent last year in the South London Area. It was only beaten in the chart by up-markey Kensington, which had a 41 per cent hike.
Deptford's meteoric rise is down to the overspill from Greenwich and Surrey Quays and regeneration projects, according to the Property Price Advice experts who drew up the table of last years top ten highest climbers.
The 'clever money' is now being invested in a healthy stock of sought after high quality properties nestled in conservation areas in Deptford.
Deptford is the happening place to be, it is the new Camden or Islington. A lot of young people are moving in and are attracted by the good transpot links such as the DLR station.
