House Prices Show Signs Of Improvement - The Times November 05

House prices have enjoyed their strongest month in more than a year, chartered surveyors report today.

Buyer interest rose at its fastest pace in nearly two years last month as purchasers took comfort from August's cut in interest rates, the survey from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) says.

The RICS's guage of the direction of prices which measures the balance of surveyors reporting rising prices minus those seeing prices fall improved, strongly ahead of market expectations.
